BPI Cards launched their latest product offerings last November 8th at the posh 7th High located at the hip Bonifacio High Street in Taguig. It was a fitting venue to highlight BPI Cards Wonderworld – a portal for wonderful shopping possibilities for Filipinos. We are all aware of the BPI Card products – the BPI Blue and Gold MasterCards, co-branded Petron-BPI and BPI-SkyMiles MasterCards and the BPI Edge and Mini-Edge MasterCards. The newest card products to hit the market geared towards the online shopaholics were introduced – the BPI eCredit Card and My ePrepaid Card.
The Philippines is finally catching up with
online shopping which has existed in other parts of the world for several years now. Online shopping portals are growing, offering lower-priced items including group-buying deals. As the tech-savvy Pinoys come to realize the convenience of buying stuff on the web comes the realization that they are not equipped with the right financial tools to conduct online transactions. There are those who are still skeptic and prefer a more secure way of online shopping. On the other end of the spectrum are those who are willing to give the technology a shot but are unable to because they don’t have a credit card.
