Enjoying the Sunset at Manila Bay; finding oneself in an urban jungle characterized by honking jeepneys and speeding tricycles- -these are just a few projects Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB participants have submitted since the launch of the campaign on February 25, 2013 in the Philippines. In an effort to unify Millennials through music, participating Filipinos have submitted 39 different artistic projects to date across the four creative categories: DJs, Vocalists/Instrumentalists, Film Makers, and Motion Graphic Artists.
The final winner in each category will stand a chance to receive US$10,000 and travel to Singapore to participate in a five-day workshop, where they will connect and collaborate with regional mentors, who will be sharing their knowledge and experience in their respective areas of expertise, to produce an exclusive MTV music video with the theme ‘Pulse of the World’. The music video will be aired across the seven participating Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB countries: India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand and provide the opportunity for each of the four winners to shine.
With project submissions now closed, Filipinos will have the opportunity to champion their favorite projects by casting their votes in each category starting May 1, 2013. Voters stand a chance to win a trip to Singapore to attend the “making of the music video” workshop.

Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB is an integrated social platform that enables Millennials from across seven countries in Asia Pacific, to share stories about their communities through music. The projects submitted in the first phase were based on the theme ‘Pulse of the City’ and can be viewed here: www.project-colab.com/showcase/all.
Leveraging the resources provided by Lenovo and MTV, the competition empowers the most progressive, creative and talented Millennials from the Philippines, to connect and collaborate with likeminded individuals who do not just dream about accomplishing their goals but go out there and do, i.e. individuals who are actively engaged in the world and need technology that helps them do more. Winning talents across these four categories are determined by public votes and regional mentor inputs.
