BRIT award-winning, multi-platinum selling artist Jessie J shares two acoustic versions of recent singles ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Living My Best Life’ with Sky, out now via Darco Artist Partnerships (D.A.P).
Fresh off a show-stopping performance at Wembley Stadium for Capital’s Summertime Ball earlier this month, Jessie J has shared two stunning stripped back versions of recent singles ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Living My Best Life’, the latter featuring a sweet appearance from her son, Sky, adding an extra special touch. Recorded at Metropolis Studios with a small live band, the tracks are paired with beautifully shot B&W visuals that let Jessie’s vocals shine. These acoustic renditions offer a fresh take on the stellar singles, which have already landed straight on BBC 1Xtra’s playlist (No Secrets), as well as BBC Radio 2’s and Capital FM’s A List (Living My Best Life). Produced by GRAMMY award-winning producer Ryan Tedder (One Republic, Beyonce, Adele), ‘Living My Best Life’ is a pure celebration of positivity and joy, serving as the perfect yin to the raw and emotional yang of ‘No Secrets’.
Speaking about the acoustic performances Jessie J said: “I wanted to give my fans something special and stripped back while I have to take a step back to focus on beating breast cancer. I did these ages ago, so in all honesty I didn’t know the songs too well in this style and tbh I kinda like it, it feels light, honest and a little rough around the edges. Kinda how life feels right now. Sky had turned up to the studio while I was recording and said “Mummy up” so I picked him up and said let’s do another take and keep going. It was the best take of the few we had and his shining light in my life shone bright in this moment. So I didn’t see a better way to celebrate this song and this time in my life than with him and this version. No secrets thrown in for the vibes. lol. I’m so grateful for him and everyone in my life lifting me up in this time. Music and love is and will always be a healer.”
Later this year Jessie J will embark on the recently announced The No Secrets Tour, a string of intimate acoustic nights across the UK, Europe and US. Kicking off in Amsterdam on October 8th, the tour will see Jessie J perform 18 dates across the UK, Europe and US, including a sold-out show at The London Palladium on October 21st. These special performances will give fans a rare chance to experience her new music live, alongside a selection of fan favourites, and her captivating humorous personality which over the years has built a strong fanbase.
