“Idol Philippines” season 2 contestant Drei Sugay officially marks a new chapter in his music career with the release of his debut extended play (EP), “Pagsuko/Pagsulong,” which chronicles the beginning of love and the pivotal choices that shape its direction.

The six-track EP captures the different stages of love through “Paglukso,” “Pag-ibig,” “Pagsuko,” “Pagsulong,” “Pagpili,” and “Paghintay.”

The key track “Pag-ibig” delves into loving too hard and losing oneself in the process. Drei co-wrote and produced the track with Nameless Kids lead vocalist Nhiko Sabiniano, while StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos served as the supervising producer.

Following his “Idol PH” journey, Drei dropped his debut single “Ganun Talaga” in 2023, which has over 600,000 streams on Spotify. He continued to showcase his musicality with songs like “Aking Tangi,” “Iyong Mga Mata,” and “Pano Naman Ako.”

Drei was recently introduced as one of the new Star Hunt Academy’s idol trainees. Aside from music, he also starred as Fonzi in “Tabing Ilog: The Musical.”

Check out Drei’s debut EP “Pagsuko/Pagsulong” available on all digital streaming platforms.
