Academy Award winner Robin Williams come together with pop-culture darling Sarah Michelle Gellar in a sitcom created by Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning producer David E. Kelley. The Crazy Ones, premiering October 1, Tuesday at 8:30PM on 2nd Avenue, is a workplace comedy about a larger-than-life advertising genius whose eccentric methods and impulsive behavior would get him fired—that is if he weren’t the boss.

Robin Williams stars as the energetic-but-brilliant Simon Roberts, the founder and head of a powerful Chicago ad agency. Counting some of the world’s biggest brands as his clients, Simon works side by side with his daughter Sydney (Sarah Michelle Gellar), the agency’s creative director. This father-daughter duo could not be more different, while Simon throws caution to the wind when he conceptualizes a number of outlandish ideas, Sydney works hard at keeping the agency in the money and sane. Something that’s hard to do when she is also busy parenting her father.

Joining them at the agency is the handsome and gifted Zach (James Wolk); the hard-working yet neurotic art director Andrew (Hamish Linklater); and the attractive and deceptively smart assistant Lauren (Amanda Setton). Backed by his team and his daughter, Simon continues to make waves in the advertising world, and by the looks of it, clients are definitely buying what these crazy ones are selling.

The Crazy Ones premieres October 1, Tuesday at 8:30PM on 2nd Avenue.

2nd Avenue is seen on UHF Channel 29, SkyCable Ch. 19, Global Destiny Ch. 29, Cignal Ch. 29 and Cable Link Ch. 35.
