Miss World 2013 Megan Young paid a courtesy call to President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Reception Hall of the Malacañang Palace earlier (October 14, 2013).
Megan Lynne Young made history after being the first Filipina to win the Miss World crown since its foundation in 1951. The 23-year-old actress-turned-beauty queen bested 126 contestants from around the world and was crowned in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia last September 28, 2013. During the pageant, she also topped the “Top Model” competition, placing fourth in the “Multimedia Challenge” and fifth in the “Beach Beauty” contest.
