TV5’s Nora Aunor, Coach Chot Reyes and Miss World 2013 Megan Young Receive ‘People of the Year’ Awards

TV5’s brightest personalities were recently honored for their achievements in their respective fields during People Asia’s People of the Year Awards 2014.

Representing the Kapatid Network in this year’s much-awaited awards night were veteran actress Nora Aunor and Smart Gilas Pilipinas coach and Sports5 Head Vincent “Chot” Reyes, along with Miss World 2013 Megan Young.

The country’s one and only Superstar, Nora Aunor, was honored for her world-class talent and celebrated career, having racked up countless awards locally and in the global stage. The Superstar, who top-billed the TV5 primetime drama series Sa Ngalan ng Ina and Never Say Goodbye, will soon star in the light drama, comedy musical Trenderas.

Coach Chot Reyes, who is currently the Head of Sports5, the sports division of TV5, was likewise recognized for leading the Smart Gilas Pilipinas to a Silver Medal finish in the FIBA Asia Championships 2013.

Miss World 2013 Megan Young was also honored for putting the country in the world’s spotlight by finally winning the elusive Miss World crown. Megan starred in two of TV5’s primetime series, Misibis Bay and Never Say Goodbye.

People Asia’s People of the Year Awards 2014, which has been honoring outstanding individuals annually since 2004, was also attended by President Benigno S. Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar C. Binay.
