Atlantic recording artist Jason Mraz has announced details of his much-anticipated new album. “YES!” arrives everywhere on July 15, 2014.
The multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter is celebrating “YES!” by releasing a new track every Monday through the album’s eagerly awaited arrival. “Mraz Mondays” get underway with today’s release of, “Love Someone,” which is available now at all DSPs.
Fans pre-ordering “YES!” will receive automatic downloads of all the “Mraz Monday” tracks as they are released. For more details, please visit Mraz’s official website jasonmraz.com. Additionally, Jason Myraz will be releasing live video companion pieces, “Live from the Om Studio at Mraz Organics’ Avocado Ranch,” to each song every “Mraz Monday” directly from his Facebook page.
Jason Mraz’s fifth studio release, “YES!” sees the San Diego-based troubadour teaming up with his longtime friends and collaborators, Raining Jane, for a purely acoustic and more intimate sound than heard on his previous releases (see attached track listing). “YES!,” produced by Jason Mraz along with Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, Rilo Kiley), was recorded in rural Omaha, Nebraska and inland Oceanside, California. While somewhat intimate and esoteric, “YES!” still remains a Mraz-like pop album and features classical instruments, cello, sitar and vintage guitars and sings about universal themes of love, faith, healing, environmental stewardship and inner peace.
Jason Mraz is currently set for a number of high profile TV appearances, beginning with a performance of “Love Someone” on the upcoming live season finale of Fox’s American Idol, last May 21. Jason Mraz and Raining Jane then hit The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed another new song “Hello, You Beautiful Thing” last May 23 followed by a visit to NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on July 17 and NBC’s TODAY with a “Toyota Concert Series” show broadcast live from New York’s Rockefeller Center on July 18.
In other news, Jason will be announcing his “YES!” tour dates in June. The “YES!” tour will get underway in the U.S. in August with Europe planned for September, Asia and Australia later in 2014 and South America in 2015.
