myREMIT, remittance arm of ABS-CBN Global Ltd. subsidiary EMoney Plys Inc. pays tribute to day-to-day heroes who made sacrifices for their families’ future –the overseas Filipinos –for a greater end via a video tribute “My Day Left and I’m Thankful For It.”
The video tribute, a part of TFC’s remittance brand myREMIT’s 15th anniversary, tells the story of a man who musters enough strength to leave his young child at a tender age of five, in order to fend for his family’s needs. The child, initially wells up at the thought of his father leaving him and realization that he will not see him for a long time because he needs to work overseas to fend for the family. The title of the video speaks of how the boy eventually grows up thankful, that his father left because at the end of the day he realizes it is the family who stands to benefit from the sacrifice he has made.
The video is part of myREMIT’s efforts to show how it values each customer. For myREMIT, each customer is a parent, a child and a sibling who is willing to make sacrifices for betterment of life. Each remittance transaction is not just a symbol of how overseas Filipinos treasure their families’ future but how they value each member.
According to Raymund Abog, business unit head for remittance, “myREMIT goes beyond overseas Filipinos’ remittances as a fulfillment of an obligation but a manifestation of their love. This is the reason why we value each customer, each transaction like they were our own a part of our own family. Our tagline “Iba Magmalasakit ang Kapamilya” speaks of this commitment.
