Representatives of the National Consumer Affairs Council officially open the celebration of Consumer Welfare Month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Created by Republic Act No. 7394, or the Consumer Act of the Philippines, the NCAC advances the management, coordination and effectiveness of the nation’s consumer programs and regularly engages in discussions that shape policies protecting consumer interests.
