The FITCON allowed adults to try the latest trends in fitness all in one venue.”
The MILO NUTRI UP FITCON marked the official launch event of the new MILO NUTRI UP. At the whole-day fitness convention, participants experienced a jam-packed schedule where they joined non-stop fitness classes, learned the latest in fitness from experts, enjoyed exclusive discounts from fitness brands, and danced the night away in a workout party with music by DJ Ace Ramos.
#Fitspiration siblings Solenn and Erwan Heussaff and renowned fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret led the whole day event by participating in the activities. Solenn Heussaff joined a yoga session led by Beyond Yoga, while Erwan Heussaff represented Primal Ape Crossfit in a crossfit exhibition. Coaches Jim and Toni Saret led various workout activities throughout the day.
Participants of the MILO NUTRI UP FITCON were able to discover something new and up their fitness game through the four areas of the fitness convention: UP YOUR SKILLS, UP YOUR KNOWLEDGE, UP YOUR NUTRITION, and UP YOUR LIFESTYLES.
In the UP YOUR SKILLS area, participants joined practical sessions where they were able to learn the latest workout trends such as Crossfit, HIIT, MMA, Yoga, Zumba, BodyJam, BodyCombat, and challenges where they were pushed to their physical limits.
The area also hosted Under Armour’s Rule Yourself Challenge. This subjected participants to different callisthenic exercises that tested their strength, endurance, and determination. The winners received special prizes from Under Armour and a chance to represent the country in the 2016 Test of Will Challenge Southeast Asian competition in Singapore.
In the UP YOUR FITNESS KNOWLEDGE area, participants learned about their overall fitness with the help of guest speakers from the fitness community. One of the main highlights of this area was Fitness First’s BioScore assessment test, where participants were subjected to a series of health, lifestyle, and physical fitness examinations to determine how old they are biologically compared to their actual age. The test also determined what areas they need to work on so they can improve their overall fitness.
The area also featured smart and scientific training for triathlon led by Don Velasco, the first Ironman Certified Coach in the Philippines. Participants learned about the benefits of custom-based training like lactate testing, which determined an athlete’s training or racing zones based on lactate concentration levels; and dynamic bike fitting, which gave the participants an idea on what bike they should get based on their flexibility, core strength, and pre-existing injuries.
The UP YOUR NUTRITION area shared nutrition tips and samples from partner restaurants, diet delivery services, and health stores like Fit Kitchen, Nestle Fruit Selection Yogurt and Nutrition Depot. This aimed to upgrade the participants’ food choices so they can live a healthier lifestyle every day.
The UP YOUR LIFESTYLE area provided big discounts from fitness brands like Ensayo Gym Equipment, Toby’s Sports, Reebok and more. Participants found the latest fitness gear andapparel at special prices exclusively offered at the MILO NUTRI UP FITCON.
“The MILO NUTRI UP FITCON aimed to connectthe participants to various fitness organizations so they can discover and learn from the experts and become part of the growing fitness community in the Philippines,” said de Vera. “It also challenged adults to aim for a more active and healthier lifestyle and become champions in their own right now that the game has gotten bigger.”
