Singapore post-hardcore band, Villes, have announced the release of their debut album ‘The Cure’. The 10-track album is set for release on April 28th, 2017 via Shibui Records. Along with the announcement, Villes have released the music video for their first single “Don’t You Worry”, available for viewing here: smarturl.it/DontYouWorryMV.
‘The Cure’ is recorded at Homeground Studios and mixed & mastered by Josh Schroeder (The Plot In You, In Hearts Wake, The Color Morale). The album centers on Villes’ personalized brand of post-hardcore music infused with pop sensibilities, evident in their signature blend of screams and clean catchy choruses that are supported by a commanding structure of complex guitar riffs forming groove linearity with the drums.
“We spent the past 2 years putting this record together, constantly getting kicks to the groin (eg. forced to switch recording studios, parting ways with band members) but having to recover from that ‘post low-blow ache’ and moving forward. I’m extremely excited to finally revive Villes back to our fullest potential,” states Bryan Sta Maria, guitarist/vocalist of Villes.
