230 young athletes made a splash at the 1st leg of the Alaska IronKidsAquathlon held in Makati City. The fun yet challenging swim and run course tested participants’ mettle to complete the course and try to qualify for a podium win.
In the end, Alaska IronKids veteran Juan Francisco “Wacky” Baniqued bested the boys 13-14 years old boys category with Clifford Pusing placing second and Richard Anson Navo taking third.
Franz Emmanuel Joves stood out in the 13-14 years old girls category followed by Angelina Powell and Kristana Erica Derrada in third.
The next leg of the Alaska IronKidsAquathlon is slated this coming June at Subic.
