For the first time in Asia, an HBO Original production will be dubbed in local language by local celebrities. HBO Asia will be dubbing the latest season of the award-winning and critically acclaimed HBO Original series, GAME OF THRONES (#GameofThrones), into Thai (#GOTinThai) voiced by local celebrities. The celebrity Thai dub version of GAME OF THRONES Season 7 will premiere same day as the U.S. exclusively during primetime on HBO via AIS Play and AIS Playbox on Monday, July 17 at 8pm. In addition, two lucky fans in Thailand will also stand a chance to lend their voices to characters from the iconic series.

Six key characters in the hit television series will be voiced by popular Thai celebrities. The Thai voice talents include actor Mario Maurer (as Jon Snow), actress and singer Nantida Kaewbuasai (as Cersei Lannister), actress Namthip Jongrachatawiboon (as Daenerys Targaryen), singer and actor Preeti Barameeanant (as Tyrion Lannister), actress and model Ploychompoo Jannine Weigel (as Arya Stark) and actress Pleng Chontida Asavahame (as Sansa Stark).

“For the very first time in Asia, our hit HBO Original series, GAME OF THRONES, will be dubbed in a local language by local celebrities,” said Jonathan Spink, CEO, HBO Asia. “HBO Asia continues to be committed to our Thai audience through our partner, AIS. Earlier this year, we brought GAME OF THRONES star, Liam Cunningham, to Thailand. Now, we are very excited to bring the hit series closer to fans in Thailand by dubbing GAME OF THRONES Season 7 voiced by Thai celebrities, and we are also giving Thai fans the opportunity to be part of the series by being voice talents themselves.”

Two lucky Thai fans will also stand a chance to lend their voices to a male and a female character in GAME OF THRONES Season 7. To participate and for more information, visit the hboasia.com website.
