Chart topping Singapore pop artist Falling Feathers announces signing with Warner Music Singapore, who will be releasing his brand new single “Hush.” Taken from his forthcoming debut EP titled Pipe Dreams, “Hush” will be available on all digital platforms at https://warnermusicsg.lnk.to/ffhush on 21 July 2017, with an accompanying music video penciled in for release on 28 July 2017.
A collaboration between Falling Feathers and Thievves (aka Zie from Synth-Pop sensation, Disco Hue), “Hush” sees Falling Feathers expanding and experimenting his signature pop sound into a trendy eclectic mix of disco and funk.
Explains Falling Feathers, “There are many types of pop music and Falling Feathers is essentially a pop act. At this stage, I’m just experimenting with various genres of pop music and exploring different arrangements while retaining the idea of pop sensibility in my song writing. But this doesn’t change what Falling Feathers is all about – palatable pop music with relatable narratives.”
In line with the song’s premises, the accompanying music video is also a visual delight. Produced and directed by Falling Feathers with the help of director of photography/editor Jeremy Kieran, the music video will premiere exclusively on MTV Asia on Starhub CH533 and www.mtvasia.com on July 27 at 12:30pm before a worldwide release on 28 July 2017 on Falling Feathers’ official
YouTube channel.
“Hush” is the follow-up release to Falling Feathers’ hit song “Why So Serious”, which charted on iTunes across South East Asia. “Why So Serious” was featured on multiple playlists like, The A List: Singapore Music playlist, Future Hits playlist on Apple Music; and New Music Friday in various countries, Singapore’s Top Acts, and many more on Spotify. The song also appeared on TVN’s popular variety program from South Korea titled “윤식당” (Youn’s Kitchen). Till date, the music video of “Why So Serious” has garnered over 18,800 views on YouTube and the track has more than 75,000 streams on Spotify since its release. Falling Feathers’ debut single “Perfect” also debuted at #5 on the iTunes Singapore Pop charts and also peaked at #6 on the Spotify Singapore Viral 50 Charts.
Says Simon Nasser, managing director of Warner Music Singapore, “Falling Feathers is an exceptional young artist that embodies the spirit and tenacity of today’s youth. Not only is his music exuberant and infectious like all good pop music should sound like, his creative direction is a breath of fresh air for the local music scene as well. Warner Music Singapore is very excited to work with Falling Feathers and we look forward to more pop hits from this promising young chap!”
“With this new partnership with Warner, I hope to be able to bring Falling Feathers to new heights. It’s always about growing not just as an artist, but as a person for me,” adds Falling Feathers. “So working together with the superb folks at Warner will no doubt allow me to grow as a person and develop my act.”
Since his debut in late November 2016, Falling Feathers has covered by various media like The Straits Times, Bandwagon, Juice Singapore, Time Out Singapore, Marie France Asia, Pop Spoken, and Music-Asia. The pop musician not only received mainstream radio airplay on stations like Power98 and Lush 99.5, his music is also being played on various campus radio stations (Radio Heatwave and Radio Pulze) and international online radio channels (Asian Pop Radio) and more.
