Davao Aguilas FC tested its mettle against PFL’s last placer, Ilocos United FC, at its home pitch in Tagum City, Davao del Norte last Sunday.

The Aguilas players kept a clean sheet and earned two goals, courtesy of Harrison Sawyer on the 24th minute and James Younghusband on the 65th minute.

Head Coach Marlon Maro says, “We are happy with the win.  I guess the week-long break gave us a lot of elbow room to do the adjustments, and develop our style of play.  I am very satisfied that in the end, we ended up winning.”

Maro continues, “We would like to thank the more than 4,500 fans as well for coming.  The fans gave us both the strength and the fire to win this match.”

This weekend’s win gives Davao Aguilas FC a total of 11 points, while Ilocos United FC, which is still on the last place, has a total of 7 points.

Both teams face off against each other once again on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
