What started as an analysis of onsite search and listings data for global real estate platform Lamudi has now grown into a full-fledged service. Boasting more than 1.5 million data points generated every month and approximately 85,000 properties listed, the real estate website is taking the data-driven approach to real estate marketing into a whole new level, as it is nearing the completion of a survey involving 10,000 homebuyers, which will eventually be compiled as The Outlook by Lamudi a comprehensive report on Philippine real estate.
The launching of The Outlook by Lamudi will coincide with acknowledging the industry’s best of the best using data generated from the homebuyers’ survey. The event will happen on November 29, 2017, at the Marquis Events Place BGC.
According to Lamudi’s managing director Bhavna Suresh Chathambeth, this event, which is the first of its kind in the local real estate sector, will also gather the industry’s thought leaders for a day of discussion and knowledge sharing on what drive the real estate sector.
These thought leaders will come from the industry’s major sectors namely, top-level representatives from real estate players specializing in mixed-use or township developments; representatives from the design and innovation sector; and those coming from the residential and the affordable housing segments.
This list of esteemed individuals will also include executives representing flexible working spaces; key people from the infrastructure sector; those involved in promoting sustainability in the industry; and prominent regional real estate players.
According to Ms. Suresh, these sectors are what drive the local real estate industry today, and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. She added that this coming together of the industry’s influencers come at an appropriate time as real estate is a major contributor to the country’s remarkable economic growth.
In order to determine the industry’s best of the best, Lamudi started a homebuyers’ survey in March this year, which involved approximately 10,000 respondents from across the Philippines. The respondents were asked questions ranging from what they deem are the country’s best condominium developers, to their opinion on who deliver the best housing or subdivision projects. Other questions delve on high-end condo development, amenities, financing and design, among others.
According to Lamudi, the company’s research team is now well underway analyzing the results of the survey, and a first look of the report will be made available in early November.
“We’re very excited about the results of this survey, as it will be the first where actual homebuyers were asked about who they deem are the best players and who provides them the best value. What better validation than that which comes directly from the buyer,” Ms. Suresh enthused.
