As part of its global effort to transform into a digital and customer-centric market leader, Manulife partnered with ride-hailing service Grab to educate Filipinos on-the-go about the importance of saving and investing.
Two hundred Manulife-branded vehicles are each currently installed with a tablet where passengers can watch informative videos featuring actress Isabelle Daza, comedian Kaladkaren Davila, and TV host Victor Anastacio. After each video, they can opt to schedule an appointment with a financial adviser by filling up an online form.
Passengers will be asked to input their name, email address, and preferred date of appointment when they sign up. Manulife will then match them with a financial adviser based on the information they have given.
“In our commitment to provide innovative financial solutions to our customers, we are using technology to make it easier for them to plan for their futures and live better lives,” said Ryan Charland President and CEO of Manulife Philippines. “With our partnership with Grab, we’ll be able to turn Filipinos’ idle time more productive by showing them ways they can manage their finances so they can secure their futures.”
Brian Cu, Country Head of Grab Philippines added: “We are aligned with Manulife in our vision to make Filipinos lives better. Our partnership with them enabled us to create a better customer experience for our passengers, giving them an opportunity to reach their destination in life by helping them plan for their future.”
The Manulife-branded vehicles are present in Metro Manila and nearby provinces and will operate until December 2018.
