The SM Group of Companies, through the SM Foundation’s disaster relief program, Operation Tulong Express, has started relief operations in typhoon-stricken areas across Luzon and the Visayas region to provide assistance to the families greatly affected by super typhoon Yolanda. “The SM Group of Companies has mobilized SM Foundation’s Tulong Express disaster relief facility. Perhaps the strongest ever that rampaged across the Philippine archipelago with maximum sustained winds of around 315 kilometers (195 miles) per hour, super typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) left over 100 people killed in Leyte while most areas still waiting for updates on casualties according ABS-CBN news. Drop off your pre-loved clothes, blankets, and towels at the Mommy Mundo Bazaar gates starting today, November 10 until December 8, 2013 from 10:00 am to to 8:00 pm at the Rockwell Tent, Makati City. The donated clothes will then be laundered fresh by Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, before it is delivered to our kababayan affected by the recent calamities.

In an effort to extend help and financial assistance to the thousands of Filipinos who have been displaced by super typhoon Yolanda, TV5 will conduct a live fundraising telethon today (November 10) starting at 9:00 pm.
