AirAsia announced it would operate its first-ever flights between the Philippines and Japan, with the launch of daily services from Manila to Osaka commencing 1 July 2019.
Osaka will become the airline’s eighth international destination from the Philippines, connecting Filipinos with the wonders of Osaka and the Kansai region in Japan.
AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Dexter Comendador said, “The launch of direct flights between the Philippines and Japan is a milestone occasion, and we’re excited to connect our capital, Manila with Osaka.
“Being able to travel directly and affordably to Osaka is fantastic news for Filipinos and we’re confident this new route will serve as a gateway for guests to connect to other popular destinations in Japan such as Kyoto and Nara.
“We are also excited to welcome guests from Osaka and its neighbouring regions to the Philippines. This international route will contribute to the government’s target of 8.2 million visitors this year.”
To celebrate the new route, AirAsia is offering all-in promotional fares between Manila and Osaka starting at just P1,990*. The promotional fares are available for booking at airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app from today.
AirAsia flies to 13 international destinations from Manila in the Philippines, including Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok, Bali, Seoul, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau and Ho Chi Minh City.
Located in the Kansai region, Osaka is Japan’s third largest city and has a number of tourist attractions such as the historical Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi Taisha and Shitenno-ji temple.
