ABS-CBN made history as it won the Philippines’ first Gold Dolphin award from the prestigious Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards in France for the documentary “’Di Ka Pasisiil” on the Marawi Siege. The documentary produced by ABS-CBN News’ Docu Central describes the realities of the months-long urban war in Marawi, Lanao Del Sur and the experiences of both civilians and journalists in the conflict that ravaged their city. It won Best Documentary under the Current Affairs, Human Concerns, and Social Issues Category at the 9th edition of one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies in the industry.

Elisse Joson takes on a new challenge as she portrays champion skateboarder Margielyn Didal, who is the first female skateboarding gold medalist in the Asian Games, on October 6, Saturday at “MMK.” Margie’s fascination with skateboarding started the first time she saw a group of skateboarders in her town in Cebu. She found that it came naturally to her after the first time she tried it. Her talent is soon noticed by her friend, Dani (JV Kapunan), who believes she is better than other long time skateboarders.
Last September 29, PBE Don (Donald Gimperoso) defeated the best Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition players in the Philippines to advance to the global Last Chance Qualifier at the Red Bull Kumite Finals in Paris, France this November. The tournament took place at Chaos Nightclub, in City of Dreams, Manila. “I’m very happy since I won the tournament,” shares Kumite winner, Donald Gimperoso. “It was a close match. My opponent made last minute adjustments and I had a hard time closing out the game.”
